Board of Directors

D.I.Y.C. Board of Directors include individuals who have a profound commitment to improving and growing their community in which we serve.  We are a board of directors that have a true devotion to improving the life condition of youth. Our board governs, monitors, improves performance and works to drive the vision of the organization. Board members assist in a vital planning process and provide valuable support to the Executive Director. DIYC Board meets formally four times each year, as well as, regular meetings as needed to conduct the organization business.

Krista Walker,
Director

I'm responsible for the overall functioning of the Board of Directors and ensure that all appropriate actions are taken. I recruit new board members whose vision aligns with the organization. I ensure that an agenda is planned for each board meeting. I preside over annual meetings of the board of directors. I sign specific documents on behalf of the board of directors and serve as primary spokesman for the organization.

Vice President

I'm deemed to assume and preform the duties and responsibility of the President  in lieu of the President's absence. I perform duties that may be requested by the Board of Directors from time to time. I may be asked to oversee and be in charge of special projects for the organization or oversee certain committees while serving on the Board.

I'm responsible for recording and maintaining the minutes of each board meeting. I ensure notices are sent out on a timely basis. I ensure that all company records are properly secured, maintained, as well as, ensure that all paperwork is in compliance with the organization's policies and procedures and state standards in case of audits.

I'm responsible of overseeing the management and reporting of the organization's finances. I develop the annual budget as well as compare the actual revenues and expenses incurred against the budget. I'm responsible for overseeing the financial audit of the organization, pay bills, and facilitate deposits. Ensuring that the accounts are ready for audit each year. I ensure banking, book keeping and record keeping to ensure that a proper record is kept of all money received and payments made and that accounts are reconciled at least once per month)
